In-Between Kings & Queens is my autonomous project: since 2015 I have been making portraits with drag performers and gender-diverse people around the world, showing the whole person, especially in places where expressing yourself is difficult or dangerous.

No one commissions it. I choose where to photograph and with whom, and the people in front of the camera help decide how they are portrayed.

What began as a project about self-expression has grown into an international archive of more than a hundred portraits, exhibited in over twelve countries. Since December 2025 the project has its own foundation:
